Celebration of Life Memorial Park

About Celebration of Life Park

Celebration of Life Park is located across from the Shawnee Pioneer Public Library.  The park was created by Ann Davis to honor her daughter Dana who died in 1990.  It officially opened on July 4, 1994.  Engraved bricks create broad walkway leading to a white gazebo which features a chiming clock.  Trees dedicated to loved ones are identified by addition engraved bricks.  A large mural painted by Linda Dixon can be seen on the wall of an adjacent building just east of the park.  The mural features Benson Park circa 1910.  The cool shade of the trees offers a place to rest and visit.  The park features a special light display every Christmas.
